REPRESENTATIVE
JOEY ANDREWS
Incompetent. Out-of-touch. Wrong for Southwest Michigan
INCOMPETENT JOEY & HIS EXTREME AGENDA
RECKLESS SPENDING
Rep. Joey Andrews voted to spend $82 BILLION on the backs of Michigan's taxpayers, which includes reckless spending on pet projects such as:
$50,000,000 for Oakland County office spaces in Pontiac
$20,000,000 for corridor development to Detroit's Greektown
$1,000,000 for a splash pad in Ann Arbor
$900,000 for a cricket field in Troy
$250,000 for upgrades to a boxing gym in Lansing
$200,000 for a disc golf course in New Buffalo
INCOMPETENT
Joey Andrews introduced a bill that accidentally ELIMINATED a law that criminalized the COERCION OF CHILDREN into marrying an adult. Andrews’ INCOMPETENCE would have allowed criminal predators to avoid a felony and up to 10 years in prison!
EXTREME
In now deleted tweets from 2019, Joey Andrews disrespected our first responders, calling police "Racists" and compared them to "Nazis". Andrews' Extreme views do NOT show the RESPECT our men and women in uniform DESERVE.
SELF-SERVING
Rep. Andrews co-sponsored a bill to allow his POLITICAL ALLIES to give virtually UNLIMITED CONTRIBUTIONS to HIS CAMPAIGN.
OUT-OF-TOUCH
Rep. Andrews wants to effectively BAN GIG WORK like Uber and DoorDash.
HB 4380-4406
AND THERE’S MORE
Rather than taking even more of your money to make ‘feel good’ promises or reward campaign donors, the state should be funding our students, fixing our roads and returning money to our local police and fire services.
Has spent more time securing kickbacks for members of the teachers’ union than making sure our kids can read and do math at a basic level.
Refuses to fund students, not systems.
Joey Andrews has voted for an energy mandate that will make our electricity more expensive and less reliable.
Andrews has removed the ability for local communities to decide where new windmills and solar panels should be built, forcing them onto communities that don’t want them in their backyard.
Rep. Andrews has handed out billions to corporations and donors while ignoring the inflation hurting Michiganders and local businesses.
